We'll Rendezvous at the Convergence

This is true story from the past 5 years (2019-2024) that will challenge notions about mental health and create a space for manifestation work in your mind. This tragic comedy is dedicated to the memory of Rick Jarow, PhD.

Part One:

Act One, The Platonic Verses: introduces a character Tulsidas and his friendship with Omaha who challenges him and his understanding of mental health.

Act Two, Head Trip into the Unknown: introduces the friendship of Tulsidas and Tony where Tony doubts the message Omaha has given him and there’s a disconnect that challenges the status quo.

Part Two:

Act Three, Vampires, Zombies, and Aware Wolves: Going back to the origins of the friendship with Tony we see the importance of caring for oneself and the Middle Way of the argument being presented here.

Act Four, Manifest Destiny: Develops on the figure of Professor Nick Arrow who was introduced in Act Two and his mentorship of Tulsidas. His understanding of manifestation work and the transmission given to Tulsidas.

Act Five, A Little Therapy for the Soul: Ends with a therapy session where the speaker talks out the themes of the show and culminates with challenging the audience to think about these questions and themes in their own life.

The performance project, The Island is Calling!, Or Son of Subraman, was directed by Kathryn Dunn, written and performed by Vijay R. Nathan, and was filmed by Brandon Herman.

This performance tells the story of the narrator’s coming-of-age in Staten Island NYC and his journey through a mental health crisis to an acknowledgement of his deep attunement with the Universe and the synchronicity that is characteristic of such work.
